Event Spotlight

EXPOSED: The Unique History of African American Pioneers

Location: The Daniel J. Evans Library at The Evergreen State College , 2700 Evergreen Parkway NW, Olympia Washington, 98505
 
Come celebrate the unique history of the Pacific Northwest at the opening reception of the exhibit EXPOSED, The Unique History of African American Pioneers.  This exhibit features oil paintings by local artist Dionne Bonner.  The reception and exhibit will be held at The Daniel J. Evans Library and will exhibit through April 30, 2009. 
 
Bonner's larger-than-life portraits reflect the major contributions of African American pioneers in the Pacific Northwest. Written biographies of each of the pioneers trace their unique history, from slavery through the civil rights movement.
